Ten top performers are nominees for Guthrie Athlete of the Week for Sept. 21-27, 2025.
Nominees are from the coverage areas of the Binghamton Press & Sun-Bulletin, Elmira Star-Gazette, Ithaca Journal and Corning Leader.

Voting will be open until the noon Thursday, Oct. 2.
To submit a nomination for the week of Sept. 28-Oct. 4, email bgmsports@gannett.com by 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4.
The nominees:
Leah Antes, Odessa-Montour girls soccer: Antes contributed four goals and an assist in the Grizzlies’ 6-2 win over Moravia, followed by two goals in a 6-2 triumph against Newark Valley.
Paisley Emmick, Corning volleyball: Emmick had 28 service points, 27 assists, five digs and two aces in the Hawks’ win over Elmira. She added 19 assists and 12 points to help Corning capture the gold bracket at the Owego tournament.
Marco Konrad, Maine-Endwell football: Konrad followed his 80-yard interception return for a touchdown with a go-ahead run on a two-point conversion as M-E rallied for an 8-6 win over Owego. On Owego’s final offensive series, Konrad had three consecutive tackles before the Spartans stopped a pass on fourth down.
Josh Kweller, Vestal football: Kweller threw a school record-tying five touchdown passes in a 42-6 triumph against Binghamton. The TDs went for 6, 30, 9, 70 and 21 yards. Kweller completed nine of 10 passes for 199 yards.
Zack Parker, Norwich football: Parker carried 22 times for 160 yards and two touchdowns in a 40-14 win over Ithaca.
Tyler Reed, Walton/Downsville boys soccer: Reed had three goals and two assists in a 6-2 win over Norwich, a goal and two assists in a 3-0 win against Oxford and the lone goal in a 1-0 victory vs. Greene.
Cooper Robinson, Waverly football: Robinson rushed for 108 yards and a touchdown to go with 80 receiving yards and a 72-yard TD in a 49-7 win over Johnson City.
Jace Schiller, Thomas A. Edison football: Schiller ran for three touchdowns and threw for three in a 54-14 win over Newfield. He rushed 11 times for 143 yards and completed 7 of 14 passes for 219 yards.
Kylan Smith, Whitney Point field hockey: Smith had a combined six goals and an assist in three victories, including a hat trick in a 7-0 win over Owego Free Academy.
Davi Valente, Elmira Notre Dame boys soccer: Valente had three goals and an assist in a 5-0 victory against Dryden, then had a goal and three assists in a 9-0 win over Whitney Point.

Greene’s Dutcher Athlete of Week for week ending Sept. 20
Josie Dutcher of the Greene field hockey team was voted Athlete of the Week for Sept. 15-20.
Dutcher received 58.4% of the 8,255 votes. Runner-up with 24.9% was Waverly girls soccer player Lilly Boothby-Schoonover.
Dutcher had three assists in a 7-0 win over Tioga then contributed two goals and an assist in an 8-0 victory against Newark Valley.
