NEW CONCORD − The New Concord Village Council asked Mayor Jennifer Lyle to resign during its Sept. 22 meeting, according to AVC News.
Lyle reportedly walked out of the meeting and councilmembers Jim Whitehair, Levi Shegog, Stan Taylor and Robert Dickson read emails they had sent to Lyle on Sept. 11 asking her to step down.
Council has twice issued votes of no confidence in Lyle, accusing her of not being open with members or sharing information about village business.
