A public hearing of testimony regarding the acquisition of Hendrick Medical Center South is scheduled for later this month by Hendrick Health, according to a news release.
The annual Certificate of Public Advantage meeting is a required open review for the benefit of the public and is being held in accordance with the Office of Public Insurance Council, Hendrick officials said in a news release.
The hour-long hearing will be held at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 26 in Abilene at the Hendrick Medical Center Shelton Building, Auxiliary Conference Center 2000 Pine St.
Formerly known as Abilene Regional Medical Center, the hospital merged with Hendrick Health in 2020.
The public can testify at the hearing in person or in writing, officials said. Written testimony can be sent via email to hendrickexpandsaccess.com or by mail postmarked by Sept. 28, to: Hendrick Medical Center, ATTN: COPA Written Testimonials, 1900 Pine St., Abilene, TX 79601.
