The Houston Texans and Tampa Bay Buccaneers face off in primetime on Monday in a rematch of the two teams who put up fireworks in 2023. Both offenses struggled to find a rhythm in Week 1, so they will be looking to bounce back in a big way in Week 2.
Baker Mayfield and the offense were a shell of their 2024 selves, and that is even with them putting up 30 points in the process. He was missing easy throws, the offense could not establish a run game with either Bucky Irving or Rachaad White, and Mike Evans was reduced to a decoy role. On defense, the unit took some time to make plays, but they were consistent in creating pressure, and playmaking safety Antoine Winfield Jr. was healthy, and it paid off.
