Jacksonville Jaguars address interior defensive line with Albert Regis

The Jacksonville Jaguars addressed defense at No. 81 (third round) by selecting Texas A&M defensive tackle Albert Regis.

Regis is listed at 6-foot-1 and 295 pounds and had 116 games (3.5 sacks). He is expected to fit into the mix with Arik Armstead and Matt Dickerson at one defensive tackle spot. The Jaguars also traded for Ruke Orhorhoro last week from the Atlanta Falcons.

Because the Jaguars needed to add defensive tackle depth, we give the Regis pick at B-minus.

Interior pass rush was an issue for the Jaguars last year. Regis didn’t have great sack numbers, but had 11 pass break-ups.
