Bowling, bocce and dining chain Pinstripes joined the recent wave of nationwide business closures by shutting down 10 locations after filing for bankruptcy.
The Illinois-based company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Sept. 8 after amassing a debt of about $143 million, according to court documents. Pinstripes was able to secure about $3.8 million in financing, however, and is seeking a buyer to keep eight locations open.

The company will also keep open locations in Bethesda, Maryland; Cleveland, Ohio; Edina, Minnesota; Washington, D.C.; and San Mateo, California.
Can you still use Pinstripes gift cards?
Pinstripes gift cards will continue to be honored at the existing eight locations, but new gift cards will not be sold, according to court documents.
If consumers cannot travel to one of the open locations, they may file a claim online to receive the money back. Claims may be filed online at dm.epiq11.com/case/pinstripes/info.
