Fall festivities continue this weekend with the Horizon City Wine Festival, featuring wines from around the world.
There will also be some cultural events with well-known El Pasoans. The El Paso Symphony Orchestra’s 95th Anniversary Gala will honor philanthropist Marlene Stewart Saturday, Sept. 13, at the El Paso Country Club. Artist Hal Marcus will entertain guests at the Vegetarian Society’s Imaginarium Dinner Show Sunday, Sept. 14.

Villa Maria hosts Wine & Tapas fundraiser
El Pasoans are invited to the Villa Maria women’s shelter fundraiser, A Symphony of Flavors: Villa Maria Hosts Wine & Tapas Night, from 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 11 at St. Roger’s Depot. The evening will feature live music, gourmet tapas and wine pairings, and a silent auction.

Comedian Steve Treviño set for Plaza Theatre
Comedian Steve Treviño brings his Good Life Tour to El Paso with a show at 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 11 at the Plaza Theatre. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets ranging from $46 to $71, plus fees, are available at Ticketmaster.com
Horizon City Wine Festival set for September

El Paso Symphony Orchestra gala honors Marlene Stewart
The El Paso Symphony Orchestra’s 95th Anniversary Gala will honor philanthropist Marlene Stewart Saturday, Sept. 13, at the El Paso Country Club. Stewart is the recipient of the El Paso Patron of the Arts Award, which recognizes El Pasoans who promote and support artistic endeavors. Yuri will be returning to county coliseum
Iconic Mexican singer Yuri returns to El Paso with a show at 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13 at the El Paso county coliseum. Tickets are $92 to $225 plus fees, available at Ticketmaster.com.
Enjoy free outdoor movie night
El Paso area residents are invited to enjoy a free outdoor community movie night and resource fair from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, near the pavilion at Ascarate Park, 6900 Delta Drive
Residents are invited to grab their lawn chairs, blankets, and flashlights. The night will kick off with the fair from 5 to 7:30 p.m., followed by a free screening of “Jumanji” at 7 p.m. There will be complimentary popcorn, drinks, and ice cream while supplies last.
Speaking Rock hosts Mexican band Recodo, Los Recoditos
Get ready for an unforgettable night with two legendary groups Banda Los Recoditos at 7:30 p.m. and Banda El Recodo at 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12 at Speaking Rock Entertainment Center. Doors open at 6 p.m. Free admission.
Montreal band Tops to perform at Lowbrow Palace
Montreal band Tops will bring their Bury the Key tour to El Paso with a performance at 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 14 at Lowbrow Palace, 1006 Texas Ave. Tickets are $35.05 plus fees available at www.lowbrowpalace.com.

DJ Steve Aoki coming to The Elmont
DJ Steve Aoki, who sold out at 11:11 Club in January, will return to El Paso for a show at 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, at The Elmont, 240 W. Castellano Drive.
