Buccaneers rookie defender makes PFF's All-Rookie team for Week 1

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ defense had its moments on Sunday after a rough first half saw them give up some big plays to the Atlanta Falcons’ offense. In the end, they were able to contain star running back Bijan Robinson and wide receiver Drake London. In doing so, they were able to secure a come-from-behind win, and it allowed them to shine some of their playmakers.

Some of those playmakers have been well-known names, but rookie Jacob Parrish is quickly doing his best to make his name known.

PFF noticed how well the rookie out of Kansas State played on Sunday, and they included him in their All-Rookie Team for Week 1. They write, “A third-round pick out of Kansas State, Jacob Parrish lined up primarily in the slot for the Buccaneers. Parrish played admirably, allowing just two catches on three targets for a grand total of two yards allowed.”

Parrish is going to be part of their future, which seems to be established. His role, though, could be more than just providing coverage in the slot; he can be their nickel cornerback, play out wide. His versatility is going to be a major asset to the Bucs in 2025.
