No. 7 Florida State soccer shuts out FAU with 5-0 win, ends non-conference slate

No. 7 Florida State soccer dominated Florida Atlantic with a 5-0 win at FAU Soccer Stadium on Sunday, Sep. 7 in Boca Raton.

The Seminoles (4-0-1) have outscored opponents 12-0 in two games this week, a 7-0 win over Stetson and the 5-0 win over the Owls.

Against FAU, the Seminoles scored twice in the opening two minutes of the game. Enasia Colon scored the opener, and her first of the season, before Heather Gilchrist scored the second just seconds later, her third goal of the season.

FSU went into halftime ahead 2-0, and scored three in the second half.

Kameron Simmonds scored 15 minutes into the half, and that was followed by a pair of goals from Wrianna Hudson. With her two goals on Sunday, Hudson leads the team with five goals, in front of Gilchrist, who is second with three goals.

The Seminoles open ACC play next, facing Louisville on Thursday, Sep. 11 at the Seminole Soccer Complex.
