The Lions inactive players for the 2025 opener against the Green Bay Packers are now out.
Two players were known already after being ruled out due to injury. The Lions final injury report on Friday declared LB Trevow Nowaske and RB Sione Vaki each out for the Week 1 game. Jamarco Jones was also on the list, but the reserve offensive tackle was placed on I.R. on Saturday.
With Nowaske and Vaki out, that left four healthy scratches for the opener, three of them on the defensive line:
Wingo is coming off missing nearly all summer with a knee injury, so he might not be fully healthy. Wheat and Harper were each acquired since the end of preseason.
All that means second-year offensive lineman Giovanni Manu will be active for a regular-season game for the first time. Manu was a healthy scratch for his entire rookie campaign.
