'(Expletive) Amon-Ra St. Brown' hoodie is 'beautiful' to Lions receiver

Amon-Ra St. Brown took aim at Green Bay Packers fans when he showed up to Lambeau Field last fall wearing a “GreenBay Sucks” sweatshirt. Now Packers fan are fighting back with a hoodie of their own.

One Packers fan posted a link on X to sweatshirts and T-shirts with St. Brown’s picture on the front and an expletive splashed across St. Brown’s image.

The T-shirts and sweatshirts, which say, “(Expletive) Amon-Ra St. Brown,” retail for $21.99-$39.99.

The X account for St. Brown’s podcast reposted an image of the sweatshirt Thursday with video of St. Brown blowing a kiss to a Packers fan giving him the middle finger, though St. Brown said he hadn’t seen the sweatshirt till a reporter showed him a picture of it after practice on Thursday, Sept. 4.

“That’s beautiful,” St. Brown said of the green sweatshirt. “I just don’t like the color, but that’s beautiful.”

St. Brown has been an antagonist to the Packers throughout his first four NFL seasons. He has 47 catches for 481 yards and three touchdowns in eight career games against Green Bay and has played a key role in the Lions winning three straight games at Lambeau.

In 2022, St. Brown caught six passes in the Lions’ Week 18 upset that kept the Packers out of the playoffs. In 2023, St. Brown celebrated his first touchdown in Green Bay by doing a Lambeau Leap – and a fan retaliated by dousing him with beer.

And last year, St. Brown caught seven passes for 56 yards and celebrated a touchdown catch by doing a headstand in the end zone that went viral.

St. Brown, who’s chasing his fourth straight 1,100-yard receiving season, said he’s excited to open the season at Lambeau Field but has no plans to bring back the sweatshirt he wore last year.

“It’s an awesome place to play,” he said. “The fans, they bring it every time we play there. It just feels historic, but I think the rivalry that’s kind of been building up these few years with us having won, what, the past three games being there, I know it’s going to be crazy when we get there. The energy is always there, which we love as players, but it’s a great place to play.”

Injury report

Wide receiver Isaac TeSlaa returned to practice on a limited basis Thursday after missing Tuesday’s workout with an illness. Linebacker Trevor Nowaske (elbow) and running back Sione Vaki (hamstring) remained out with injuries, and swing tackle Jamarco Jones was added to the injury report with an ankle injury. Guard Kayode Awosika also practiced in full after he was listed on Wednesday’s estimated injury report as a limited participant with a shoulder injury.
