An 83-year-old woman missing from her home about 24 hours was found in a wooded area the afternoon of Sept. 4 and taken to the hospital for medical treatment.
A Bloomington Police Department officer located Margaret Cannon, a 5:20 p.m. news release said. “Thanks to our community members that called in with possible sightings and tips.”

An 83-year-old Bloomington woman is missing, and police are asking the public to help in the search.
Margaret Cannon was last seen the afternoon of Sept. 3 at her Kimble Mobile Home Manor residence in the 100 block of South Kimble Drive, according to a Bloomington police Department news release.
It is believed Cannon, who walks using a purple cane, left her residence Wednesday on foot. She was last seen wearing a bright-colored shirt and beige pants.
She was reported missing to police around 7 p.m. Sept. 3. Anyone who may have seen Margaret Cannon is asked to call 911 or BPD at 812-339-4477.
