Rams don't make any waiver claims after roster cuts

The Los Angeles Rams appear comfortable with their initial 53-man roster after the team didn’t use its waiver claim on any of the recently cut players.

L.A. had the No. 26 position on the waiver wire but weren’t among the teams who picked up new players.

This isn’t a huge surprise, given the surplus of talent the Rams had going into the summer and the tough cuts the team had already made. But the Rams certainly could have picked up some more depth at positions of need like cornerback if they found a guy on the wire they were interested i.

Now, this doesn’t preclude the Rams from signing anyone off the open market; it just means they didn’t use their waiver claim status to secure a player. There is still a lot of time between now and Week 1 where the Rams can add to the roster and practice squad.

The Rams did lose some players, though, like OL Willie Lampkin (Philadelphia Eagles), OLB Brennan Jackson (Las Vegas Raiders), DB Charles Woods (New England Patriots) and CB Derion Kendrick.
