LHS alumnus part of the winning team for the 2025 DCI World Championships

LANCASTER — On Aug. 9, the Boston Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps won the 2025 DCI World Championship. However, this may be especially meaningful to Lancaster, as one member of the corps is a Lancaster High School band alumnus.

Joe Zishka, who graduated from LHS in 2022, is now a drum major for the Boston Crusaders. The Lancaster Bands Facebook page gave Zishka a shout-out for the win. The Boston Crusaders were founded in 1940 and are a founding member of Drum Corps International. With 85 years in the making, Zishka helped accept their first-ever gold medal.
