The New York Giants and Buffalo Bills faced off in their first preseason game of 2025 on Saturday afternoon. Veteran quarterback Russell Wilson got the nod to start, but rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart took over after the first drive.
Dart looks comfortable on the field, and after nearly throwing his first interception of the year (called incomplete on the field), he rebounded and threw his first career NFL touchdown.
After Andrew Schlottman snapped the ball to Dart, he dropped back and threw a gorgeous 29-yard pass to Lil’Jordan Humphrey, who fell into the end zone. More impressive is that Dart hung in and took a hit on the play.
Wilson left the field with a 3-0 score, and Dart increased that to 10-0 with that touchdown.
Dart remained in the game for the subsequent series and looked surprisingly comfortable.
