Texas high school football: DCTF predictions for Class 4A DI, DII Big Country teams

Just like their counterparts in Class 5A Division I and Division II, Dave Campbell’s Texas Football has analyzed and made preseason predictions for Class 4A Texas high school football teams across the Lone Star State.

Next up in the 2025 Texas high school football preseason predictions is Class 4A Division I and Division II.

In the Big Country and West Texas area, there are three 4A districts that feature several stacked districts in the greater Abilene area split between Class 4A Division I and II — District 3-4A DI, District 4-4A DI and District 1-4A DII.

Before diving into DCTF’s predictions for these West Texas six-man districts, the Stephenville Yellow Jackets earned the top spot among Big Country squads in Dave Campbell’s preseason 4A DI statewide rankings at No. 4 following their trip to the Region I-4A DI finals last year.

Stephenville defensive lineman Kolton Dearth and linebacker Hudson Butchee were all also recognized as part of DCTF’s 4A preseason all-state team.

Here is what Dave Campbell’s analyzed and predicted for the Big Country, Abilene-area’s Class 4A Division I and Class 4A Division II districts.
