Fairlife hiring for new Webster milk-processing plant

In advance of its milk-processing plant in Webster opening by the end of the year, fairlife is hosting two job fairs at the Webster Parks and Recreation Center, 1350 Chiyoda Drive:

Both will run from 9 a.m. to noon, 2 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Aug. 5 and 6 and Sept. 9 and 10.

The Chicago-based company is looking to fill processing, packaging, quality, warehouse and maintenance positions. More information and pre-registration are available on the fairlife website, fairlife.com.

The 745,000-square-foot facility is being built on 110 acres on Tebor Road, which is north of Route 104 and west of County Line Road.

A subsidiary of Coca-Cola Co., fairlife produces ultra-filtered milk — which is lactose-free, lower in sugar and higher in protein and calcium — and protein and meal-replacement shakes.

The Webster plant is expected to process 5 million pounds of locally sourced raw milk per day, which would make it the largest dairy plant in the Northeast.

Fairlife CEO Tim Doelman previously told the Democrat and Chronicle that Webster’s proximity and access to best-in-class dairy farmers make it an excellent location to support the company’s growth.

“Consumer demand for fairlife products is at an all-time high, and a new production facility will allow us to significantly increase capacity and deliver fairlife to even more households across the country,” he said.

Coca-Cola is spending $650 million on the plant, the biggest industrial development business project in Monroe County history.

In October 2023, the County of Monroe Industrial Development Agency voted to approve more than $63 million in tax breaks for the facility, which is expected to employ 250 people and support up to 850 dairy farming jobs.
