A Henrietta man was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash that involved a tractor-trailer in Wolcott, Wayne County, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.

A tractor-trailer driven by a 47-year-old man from Orlando, Florida came to a stop on Route 370 before attempting to turn onto the westbound lanes of Route 104 at the same time a car was eastbound on 104, around 9 a.m. Monday, deputies said.

The driver of the tractor-trailer is accused of failing to yield the right of way when turning left onto Route 104, which caused the eastbound vehicle to strike the trailer, deputies said. The vehicle’s driver – Ahmed Sulieman, 26, of Henrietta – suffered life-threatening injuries due to the crash and was taken to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse for treatment.

Deputies continue to investigate the crash.
