A 25-year-old man has been arrested as the person believed to have abducted 7-year-old Jamal White, who was taken July 11 at gunpoint from his home on Milwaukee’s northwest side, the Milwaukee Police Department confirmed July 14 to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
A department spokesman said there is no ongoing threat to the public and charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
News that the 25-year-old man was arrested for abducting Jamal comes two days after Milwaukee police arrested the man around 5:45 p.m., July 12, at the same home where the child was found earlier that day. The house is located on the 2000 block of North 39th Street.
Two other people have been arrested at a home tied to White’s abduction.
One of the two people was arrested at the northside home where White was taken and is being held on tentative charges of resisting and obstructing. The other is being held on a tentative charge of 2nd degree recklessly endangering safety. Both are 27 years old.
