FC Cincinnati has acquired Venezuelan forward Ender Echenique on a contract through the 2028 season with an option for 2029, the club announced Tuesday, July 8.
The 21-year-old has been playing for Caracas F.C. of Venezuela’s Primera División, scoring four goals and logging two assists in 12 appearances this season. He made his professional debut with Aragua F.C. at just 16 years old.
Echenique will join the Orange and Blue as a U22 Initiative Player and will take up an International Roster Spot.
“We’d like to welcome Ender to the club,” said general manager Chris Albright. “He’s a dynamic, young player who will add to our group with his versatility and pace. We are excited to work with him and look forward to his continued development.”
Echenique is eligible to play for FC Cincinnati starting July 24 when the Secondary Transfer Window Opens. His P-1 Visa is pending.
