Bucks officially announce the re-signing of Kevin Porter Jr.

The Milwaukee Bucks formally announced the re-signing of guard Kevin Porter Jr. on July 7, bringing back the 25-year-old on a 2-year, $10.5 million deal.

The second year is a player option.

The Bucks were originally going to use a biannual exception to retain Porter, but after waiving and stretching Damian Lillard’s $54 million salary the Bucks created salary cap space and instead used part of a cap room exception.

Porter became an unrestricted free agent after he declined his $2.5 million player option on a deal he originally signed with the Los Angeles Clippers in the summer of 2024.

Acquired by the Bucks at the trade deadline, Porter averaged about 20 minutes per game with the Bucks, shooting 40.8% from behind the 3-point line and 49.4% overall while averaging 11.7 points per game.
