Search ongoing for missing Posey County woman with dementia

Posey County, Indiana, law enforcement and first responders are searching for a woman after her family reported her missing Monday morning.

The woman, Lola Davis, suffers from dementia and exited her home in the 8900 block of Middle Mount Vernon Road sometime between 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Monday, according to her family.

“Please contact Posey Dispatch at 812-838-1320 if you see Mrs. Davis,” the sheriff’s office stated on social media. “Right now, Posey County deputies, several fire departments, and search and rescue personnel are on scene attempting to locate her.”

According to information provided by Davis’ family, law enforcement were utilizing aerial drones in the search effort.

“If you can, get out and search a two-mile radius,” the family pleaded in a public Facebook post, referring to the area around 8900 Middle Mount Vernon Road. “Especially ditches, barns, garages, ponds, etc.”
