NEW YORK — The beginning of the Milwaukee Brewers series at Citi Field will have to wait.
The Brewers game with the New York Mets scheduled for July 1 was rained out and will be made up as a split doubleheader July 2. The first game will be at 12:10 p.m. Central, the second at 6:10 as originally scheduled.
Milwaukee currently trails New York by half a game for the top wild-card spot in the National League.
The Brewers will keep their starting rotation in the same order it was previously lined up to be, with Freddy Peralta pitching the first game and Jacob Misiorowski the second.
