FSU defensive line target projected to SEC program

The FSU Seminoles are looking to add some more star power to their defensive line recruiting class, and they are the finalist for one of the best in the country. Kendall Guervil, a four-star prospect from Port Myers, Florida, is set to make his commitment on Wednesday, July 2, and will decide between the Seminoles, Florida Gators, and Texas Longhorns.

While he has officially visited all three programs, it appears that the Gators have the momentum in his recruitment. They received predictions from five different On3 writers on Monday to land him, giving them a 67.0% chance to land Guervil, according to On3’s recruiting prediction machine. Texas is second at 30.8% and FSU has less than 1% chance.

Guervil is the No. 134 overall player and No. 12 defensive lineman in On3’s industry ranking. He is also the No. 14 player from Florida. He is the fourth-highest-ranked uncommitted defensive lineman in the country and the type of player FSU needs to land if they want to finish with a top 10 recruiting class in the country.

The good news for FSU is that they already have three defensive linemen committed in Tico Crittendon, James Carrington, and Wihtlley Cadeau. The bad news is that Crittendon is the only four-star prospect among the group, and FSU’s defensive line board is rapidly running out of attainable blue-chip targets.
