The Cleveland Browns have another All-Pro in the division that they have to play twice per year. The Pittsburgh Steelers have made a trade for cornerback Jalen Ramsey.
The All-Pro cornerback broke the news himself on social media.
According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the Steelers are not only acquiring Ramsey, but they are bumping his pay by $1.5 million this season. Ramsey is now set to make $26.6 million in 2025 from the Steelers. It is quite apparent they are going to go all in on their limited window with the aging Aaron Rodgers under center.
This is just the tip of the iceberg, however. The Dolphins are also sending tight end Jonnu Smith and a seventh round pick to the Steelers, and the Steelers are sending Minkah Fitzpatrick back to the team that drafted him, along with a fifth round pick.
This is the second cornerback the Steelers have added this offseason, also adding another aging Pro Bowler in Darius Slay. Add in the additions of Rodgers and wide receiver DK Metcalf, and the Steelers are decent quarterback play away from making a push for an AFC North title.
