The release of College Football 26 is a little more than two weeks away, and the hype train is starting to build after EA Sports dropped their dynasty and team builder deep dive this week. Florida State was briefly included in the trailer towards the end with Osceola and Renegade planting the spear at midfield, around the 5:22 mark.
Perhaps more intriguing, within the text-based deep dive, they announced which venues in college football they consider the toughest places to play. Last year, Florida State was ranked within this exclusive club, and this year, they have also made the list once again.
While they did not make the top ten, as you can see below, they did make the top 25. Here are the full rankings:
Of the universities on this list, 11 are SEC schools, eight are from the Big Ten, three are from the ACC, two are from the Big 12, and one is an FBS independent.
What separates this top 25 from, say, a non-top 25 toughest places to play university would be that players may find it more difficult to move down the field in the game when playing at these venues. Screen shaking and other distortions will be more prevalent, particularly if players are in a close game against that university. It will be more difficult for players to go into these tough environments and come out with a win, whether they simulate the game or play it regularly.
Fans can get their hands on College Football 26 and play in these venues when it launches worldwide on July 10, 2025.
