Fever vs Storm: Caitlin Clark seeks to snap shooting slump

Following another difficult performance that saw her score 19 points on 7-for-20 shooting from the field and just 1-for-10 from 3-point territory during an 89-81 loss against the Las Vegas Aces (6-7), Indiana Fever (6-7) guard Caitlin Clark commented about her recent struggles.

“There are going to be stretches that are really good and there’s going to be stretches that aren’t as good, and obviously it’s frustrating as you want them to go in.

“I think for the challenge for myself going forward is to continue to pour into every other aspect of the game, so I can continue to have a big impact in all those other areas… I’ve got to find a way to continue to shoot and remain confident in myself because I know I put the time in. But for me, I don’t feel like it’s anything that’s off, necessarily,” Clark said.

After being shut down offensively last Thursday by Golden State, Clark has scored 30 points on 10-for-34 shooting, including a disastrous 1-for-17 from beyond the arc over the past two games.

Clark will look to bounce back on Tuesday night when the Indiana Fever travel to the Seattle Storm (9-5) in a game that will be televised at 9 p.m. CT on NBA TV.
