PLYMOUTH – Ground has been broken on the $2.3 million reconstruction of Nutt Hill winter recreation park.
A June 19 groundbreaking kicked off the construction phase of the project, which is to see snowmaking, grooming, building improvements, land modifications, and installation of a conveyor to bring tubers, skiers and snowboarders to the top of the hill.
Closed since 2014, the reconstructed Nutt Hill, 750 W. Main St., is set to open this winter and will feature six tubing lanes and three ski/snowboarding runs.
The project is a partnership between the nonprofit Cheese Capital Winter Park and the city of Plymouth.
