Florence police officers have arrested a man in Northern Kentucky on child pornography related charges after receiving a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
The center reached out to the Florence Police Department about media files that depicted child pornography, a press release from the department said.

Florence Police Detective Ryan Kilmer investigated the incident and was able to identify a suspect: Charles J. Dawes, 35, of Union.
The man, police said, was already suspected of exposing himself in parking lots throughout Florence.
Police seized several electronic devices while executing a search warrant of the man’s home on June 19, the news release states, with assistance from the Boone County Sheriff’s electronic storage detection K9 Mozart.
Dawes was taken into custody and is begin held at the Boone County Detention Center.
According to the news release, he’s charged with eight counts of possessing matter that shows a sexual performance by a minor from 12-18-years-old; a count of possessing matter that shows a sexual performance by a minor under 12-years-old; and three counts of second-degree indecent exposure.
More information about the alleged crimes was not available via online court documents as of 2 p.m. June 19.
