University Hospitals Portage Medical Center will play host to a Family Health & Safety Day from 9 a.m. to noon June 21 at the hospital. The event will be in the Medical Arts Building of the hospital, 6847 N. Chestnut St. in Ravenna.
The event will feature various walk-up screenings for conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, sleep apnea, cholesterol, body mass index, stroke risk, grip strength and bone density. Hearing screenings will be offered to those who register.
Various community partners and family-friendly activities also will be on site, such as CPR training, therapy dogs and “Ask a Pharmacist.”
