Texas A&M softball lands commitment from Missouri Tiger LHP

Texas A&M softball coach Trisha Ford just bolstered her bullpen with a key addition. On Tuesday afternoon, she secured a commitment from Missouri transfer Taylor Pannell, a veteran left-handed pitcher with three years of SEC experience.

Pannell’s arrival helps offset the loss of ace Emiley Kennedy and reliable reliever Emily Leavitt, both of whom graduated. While best known as an elite closer, Pannell also showed promise as a starter last season. Against Texas A&M, she surrendered eight hits in a 4–3 loss but battled through 8.1 innings before giving up a walk-off home run to Amari Harper.

With a career ERA of 2.75, 123 strikeouts across 129.2 innings, and 84 appearances, Pannell has a proven track record. She’s tied the NCAA single-season saves record with 15 in 2024 and holds the NCAA career saves record with 24. Her versatility to pitch at any point in a game makes her a valuable addition to a bullpen in need of experience.
