This past weekend, Americans gathered in cities across the country, some in celebration, others in protest. While Washington, D.C. hosted a first-ever military parade to mark the U.S. Army’s anniversary and President Donald Trump’s birthday on Saturday, June 15, demonstrators elsewhere marked the occasion with defiance.

In West Palm Beach, more than 1,000 people took to the streets on June 14 for the “No Kings Day of Defiance,” a nationwide protest opposing Trump’s policies. The event included a foot march, car caravan, and rally at the Meyer Amphitheatre, where speakers raised concerns over voting rights, immigration, and gun control.

In Palm Beach Gardens, police estimated about 1,000 to 1,500 people attended a ‘No Kings’ rally on both sides of PGA Boulevard near Campus Drive and the mall.
