Prepare for a dose of pop star nostalgia in your summer.
Singer and actor Jesse McCartney will play a free Titletown Beats concert on July 19 in the Titletown District in Ashwaubenon.
He’ll take the stage at 8 p.m., with Green Bay husband-and-wife alt-pop duo 7000apart opening at 6:30 p.m.
McCartney was just 17 when “Beautiful Soul” became a hit in 2004 and launched a solo career that turned the former Dream Street boy band member into a pop sensation and heartthrob. “Leavin’,” “Body Language” and “How Do You Sleep?” followed.
Now 38, his latest release is last year’s “All’s Well,” an EP that features a track, “Make a Baby,” with Yung Gravy. He toured in 2024 behind the project.
Playing at Titletown means McCartney can add another venue to the list of places he has performed in Green Bay over the years. He most memorably played a WIXX-FM Studio 101 concert in 2005 at the Meyer Theatre packed with screaming girls. The $5 tickets sold out in 10 minutes.
He returned in 2008 for a show in Shopko Hall that was part of the Okobos Music Festival at the Resch Center. He was at The Weidner in 2018.
His acting credits span “All My Children” and “Summerland” to “Fear the Walking Dead” and the voice of Theodore in the live-action “Alvin and the Chipmunks” franchise.
Prior to the Titletown Beats concert, there will be Boot Camp fitness classes, giant games, food trucks and other activities. Carry-in coolers, food and beverage, tents and umbrellas are prohibited.
Free parking will be available in the Titletown and Lambeau Field parking lots.
The Titletown Beats concert series, presented by Jersey Mike’s, features free monthly concerts during the summer. Other dates and acts have not yet been announced.
