Brooklynn Danielson, Kenosha Bradford softball

Danielson dominated in two pitching performances at the Division 1 state softball tournament last weekend with 17 strikeouts against D.C. Everest in the semifinals and then 18 more punchouts to tie the all-time D1 single-game record in the title game against Kaukauna.

Owen Kuepper, Hartford boys golf

The senior golfer was the highest finisher from the greater Milwaukee area at the WIAA state boys golf competition in Verona. Kuepper shot 71-72 (143, -1) over two rounds to finish fourth overall on the Division 1 leaderboard, three shots back of medalist Peyton Albers from Waunakee.

Eli Schwartz, Kettle Moraine/St. John’s NW boys lacrosse

Schwartz led the co-op with four points (two goals, two assists) in a 9-8 state title game loss to Waunakee this past weekend in Sun Prairie. Schwartz opened the scoring with the match’s first goal and then trimmed the Warriors’ lead to one with 1:12 to play with his second goal.

Andrey Semin, Brookfield Central boys tennis

Brookfield Central captured back-to-back state team boys tennis titles this past weekend thanks in part to Semin winning all three of his matches at No. 1 singles against Menomonie, Neenah and Middleton in the final to finish off a perfect season for the Lancers as a unit.
