If you’re on the hunt for a good bargain, then you’re in luck because Amazon Prime Day returns this summer.
Prime Day is an annual 48-hour shopping event for new and existing Amazon Prime members. The two-day extravaganza includes deals on some of Amazon’s most popular products, including smart tech, kitchen tools, home products, beauty essentials, fashion staples, fitness gadgets and more.
But when does the online sale begin? Here’s what we know.
When is Amazon Prime Day 2025?
The two-day event will take place sometime in July, according to an Amazon news release. But specific dates have yet to be announced.
In past years, however, the 48-hour sale usually occurred sometime after the Fourth of July.
When was the last Amazon Prime Day?
In 2024, Prime Day started at 12:01 a.m. PDT on July 16 and ran through July 17. Amazon also held another Prime members-only sale in October, which ran from Oct. 8-9.

Who can get deals on Amazon Prime Day?
Discounts are for Amazon Prime members only. Join Prime or start a free 30-day trial at amazon.com/prime.
How much does Amazon Prime cost?
A standard Amazon Prime membership is approximately $14.99 per month or $139 for a one-year subscription. The current Amazon Prime student membership is $7.49 per month or $69 per year.
Qualifying government assistance recipients can sign up for Prime Access for $6.99 per month.
Amazon Prime Day deals 2025
Although this year’s Prime Day deals have yet to be announced, the sale will likely include discounts on Amazon-exclusive products and other trending items and brands.
Prime members will also get to take advantage of big discounts across more than 35 categories, including electronics, kitchen, beauty and apparel, per the press release.
