A premiere date is in sight for “Big Brother” season 27.
The long-running CBS reality show announced when it will kick off its upcoming season Wednesday, along with some extra details that should excite its fans.

When does ‘Big Brother’ return?
Season 27 premieres with a 90-minute episode Thursday, July 10, from 8:00-9:30 p.m. ET.
‘Big Brother’ to extend Wednesday episodes, add new Friday show
In addition to hour-long episodes on Sundays and Thursdays, “Big Brother” will also have 90-minute episodes on Wednesdays, airing from 8-9:30 p.m. ET.
It will also add “Big Brother: Unlocked” every other Friday, starting July 25, from 8-9 p.m. ET. The show will feature “three BB All-Stars (who) offer never-before-seen broadcast footage from the house, exclusive interviews, surprise guest appearances and unprecedented behind-the-scenes access. Former Houseguests (will) share firsthand insight and expertise as they analyze gameplay, assess the competition and give their insider’s perspective,” according to a press release.

A press release states that the show will have “an all-new group of houseguests” this season.

Yes, host Julie Chen Moonves is returning for season 27.

How many seasons of ‘Big Brother’ are there?
Technically, there are 26 seasons of “Big Brother.” But there have been three seasons of “Celebrity Big Brother,” which Chen Moonves told Us Weekly she expects to return during an upcoming winter.
There was also one season of the spinoff series “Big Brother: Over the Top,” and the “Big Brother Reindeer Games” holiday special aired for the first time in 2023.
