The FSU softball team is one of the hottest teams in the country and extended their winning streak to 13 games with another perfect 4-0 showing last week. They started the week with a 5-1 win over Stetson before sweeping NC State over the weekend.
The Seminoles are now 33-5 on the season and a perfect 9-0 in ACC play, making them the clear top team in the conference. The great week caused them to rise two more spots to No. 6 in Softball America’s Top 25 ranking.
They are still the highest-ranked non-SEC team and the only ACC program inside the top 10. No. 12 Virginia Tech, No. 18 Stanford, No. 19 Duke, and No. 21 Clemson give them five teams inside the ranking, the second most of any conference behind the SEC.
They have the best offense in the ACC and one of the best in the entire country. They rank third nationally in batting average (.373) and rank inside the top 10 in on-base percentage (.458), triples (18), runs per game (7.62), and slugging percentage (.622).
FSU Softball’s Upcoming Schedule
The Seminoles will return to action on Wednesday when they host the No. 2 Florida Gators. They will then host the No. 12 Virginia Tech Hokies in a three-game series starting on Friday. All four games will be streamed on ACC Network Extra.
