Having been asked to write a column with the above-aforementioned name by Blue Water Healthy Living, it has become apparent the material for such a column is endless! While surfing the net, I came across an article about a trend in Europe that has to have people asking, โAre We Nuts?โ You are not going to believe this one, or maybe you are.
Men are starting to wear skirts! No, I am not talking kilts such as they wear in Scotland; these are actual skirts. Men can be seen wearing a suit coat jacket with a shirt and tie; only instead of trousers that match the suit coat, they are wearing a matching skirt! Furthermore, you have to see the shoes to believe it! They wear pointed toes with spiked heels; you know, the kind women wore in the โ50s and โ60s.
It is hard to believe this trend will take hold, but then there have been other trends that we thought never would, but did.ย Why in the world would a man want to wear a skirt and high heels?ย โAre We Nuts?โย ย Whatever happened to the days when men were men and women were women.ย No doubt some of these men would point out women today are wearing slacks, so why canโt they {men} wear skirts?ย However, womenโs slacks are tailored to a womanโs figure.ย They are nothing like the slacks men wear.ย They can be styled in a very feminine way.ย Just exactly how can a skirt in any way be considered masculine?
Perhaps this trend will only last until the temperature drops below freezing, with the wind whistling and the snow flying. Women for decades have already experienced the numbing cold on their legs. Maybe men will change their minds about skirts when something else goes numb!
Are these men rebelling at the clothes that are generally accepted for both genders, (at the risk of offending the politically correct, YES, there are only two genders) or have we really gone off the deep end?
We are always told to dress for success.ย So, you be the judge as to which attire a man should wear to accomplish that.ย Is it โAโ or is it โBโ?

“A”
“B”
If your answer was โBโ, and you canโt wait for this trend to hit the United States, then you have just answered the question, โAre We Nuts?โ
