TWO RIVERS – A motor home fire spread to a Two Rivers home Thursday evening, damaging the residence, a detached garage and a neighboring property, according to Two Rivers Fire Department.
Firefighters were called about 6 p.m. Aug. 13 to 3215 Adams St. for a report of a fire.
Fire started in driveway, spread to side of home
When crews arrived, they found a motor home burning in the driveway. The fire had spread from the motor home to the side of the house.
Firefighters used hose lines to quickly extinguish the fire and stop it from spreading farther.
No injuries reported; four cats survive fire
All residents were unharmed, fire officials said.
Four cats were inside the home at the time of the fire and also survived.
Damage estimated at about $100,000
Damage from the fire is estimated at about $100,000, according to the fire department.
The residents are being assisted by Kelmann Restoration with cleanup and after-fire care services.
Multiple agencies assisted at scene
The Two Rivers Police Department, Town of Two Rivers Fire Department, Manitowoc Fire Rescue Department and Two Rivers Water & Light assisted during the incident.
Fire officials credited the responding agencies with helping bring the fire under control and limiting additional damage.
