More than 1,700 We Energies customers were without power for over an hour on Thanksgiving Day after a squirrel came into contact with power equipment, the company told the Journal Sentinel.
The outage was in the Fernwood neighborhood, just north of St. Francis and south of Bayview, according to the We Energies power outage map. It began at 1:37 p.m., and power was restored shortly after 3 p.m., company spokesperson Amy Jahns said.
At least 1,777 customers were out of power, thanks to the squirrel.
