Sen. Alex Padilla's arrest shows Trump administration has gone too far | Letters

A U.S. senator, Alex Padilla, D-California, was forcibly handcuffed because he had questions for Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem about workplace raids and immigration enforcement.

Rights are being violated. We have a right to ask. We have a right to free speech. Now people are being handcuffed for asking questions? This administration has gone too far. The Constitution is being trampled by these thugs in government. This has become insidious.

People are angry and rightly so. What’s next? Mass arrests? This is deeply sinister, and the more this corrupt administration pushes us to a dictatorship, the more people will rebel.
