Milwaukee Bucks head coach Taylor Jenkins finalized his coaching staff for the 2026-27 season, the team announced on Aug. 7.
Jenkins was hired officially on April 30 after the organization moved on from Doc Rivers following a 32-50 season.
Jenkins was an assistant coach in Milwaukee for the 2018-19 season before spending 2019-25 as the head coach of the Memphis Grizzlies. His current nine-person staff has a blend of coaches he worked at in both organizations, as well as a couple of new faces.
Darvin Ham and Jack Herum are the lone holdovers from last season’s staff. Ham was brought back to the organization by Rivers at the start of the 2024-25 season. Ham previously worked with Jenkins in Atlanta (2013-18) and Milwaukee (2018-19).
Herum has worked his way up through the organization since 2019, when he was part of the Wisconsin Herd’s player development staff.
Brad Jones rejoins Jenkins after working in Memphis under the head coach from 2019-24. Jenkins worked under Jones from 2010-12 in the G League when Jones was the head coach of the Austin Toros. Jenkins ultimately succeeded Jones as the Toros head coach.
Pat St. Andrews also returns to the Bucks organization. St. Andrews was with the team from 2018-23 before joining Jenkins in Memphis from 2023-25. He spent last season in Portland.
“It’s been fun, nostalgic in a lot of ways but new and exciting in a lot of other ways,” St. Andrews told the Journal Sentinel during the Bucks’ summer league games in Sacramento in early June. “It’s a good mix of both. A lot of familiar faces. It’s a city I know and love, an organization I know and love. Obviously a lot of familiar faces [with staff], the front office is a lot of the same guys. There’s just a lot of familiarity that makes the transition easier and exciting, but there’s new, too.”
Schuyler Rimmer also found his way back to Milwaukee. He was part of the Bucks’ staff from 2018-22 before working under Ham when he was the head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers from 2022-24. Rimmer spent last season as an assistant coach for Boston’s G League affiliate, the Maine Celtics.
Rimmer also worked in Phoenix in 2024-25, alongside fellow assistant Vince Legarza. Legarza is also back in Milwaukee this season, after working for the Bucks in the 2022-23 campaign.
Also making a return to Milwaukee is T.J. Ford, whom the team drafted No. 8 in 2003. He played two seasons (127 games) with the Bucks and played eight seasons in the league before retiring in 2012. This is Ford’s first NBA coaching opportunity.
Johnny Carpenter joined the Bucks from the Indiana Pacers staff, but he worked under Jenkins in Memphis for one season in a player development and scouting role.
Isaiah Wilkins is new to the NBA after starting his coaching career at the University of Virginia (2021-25) and the University of California, Berkley (2025-26).
Jenkins remade the video staff as well, and appointed Nshan Kenjoian as the Bucks’ head video coordinator. He worked in the same capacity in Memphis from 2024-25 before working as an assistant coach for the Portland Trail Blazer’s G League affiliate last season.
