Marinette woman sentenced for role in meth trafficking organization

A Marinette woman was sentenced May 29 to seven years in prison for conspiring to deliver more than 50 grams of methamphetamine in Marinette County, according to court records.

Maya Lindsay, 24, was one of 10 people from Wisconsin and Michigan arrested and charged following a months-long investigation into a methamphetamine drug trafficking organization. The Marinette County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrests in May 2025.

Investigators seized 413.53 grams of methamphetamine; two firearms; THC, the active ingredient in marijuana; fentanyl; drug paraphernalia; and $3,547 in U.S. currency after executing seven search warrants between April 30 and May 2, 2025, the sheriff’s office said.

Lindsay pleaded no contest March 30 to conspiring to deliver more than 50 grams of methamphetamine. She was sentenced May 29 to seven years in prison followed by 15 years on extended supervision.

Scott Klatt, 48, of Menominee, Michigan, pleaded guilty to the same charge March 13. He was sentenced to three years and four months in prison followed by 15 years on extended supervision.
