BASEBALL

Bay Port 32, Green Bay Southwest 0

SUAMICO – The Pirates scored 23 runs in the first inning in their Fox River Classic Conference win over the Trojans.

Drew LeClaire had four hits, including three home runs, and drove in 10 runs for Bay Port.

Jackson Otradovec had three hits, including a double and a home run, scored five runs and three RBIs. Ethan Orlando also had three hits and drove in three runs. Tommy Berg, Carson Hawley and Grant Nast each had two hits.

Bay Port hit seven home runs in the game. In addition to those hit by LeClaire and Otradovec, Berg, Orlando and Tayte Russell hit home runs.

Parker Lawson got the win for Bay Port.

Ashwaubenon 6, Notre Dame 2

ASHWAUBENON – The Jaguars scored six runs in the fifth inning in the Fox River Classic Conference win over the Tritons.

Nolan Vertz and Ian Justman each had two hits for Ashwaubenon. Vertz had a double and an RBI. Charlie Aichele had a double and two RBIs.

Owen Amenson pitched six innings to get the win. He allowed four hits, an unearned run, walked four and struck out eight. Kingston Vang pitched one inning, allowed a hit, a run and struck out one.

Jacob Reineking had two hits, including a double, for Notre Dame. Tripp Wroblewski also hit a double.

Pulaski 10, Manitowoc 9

PULASKI – The Ships scored two runs in the eighth inning for a 9-7 lead but the Red Raiders bounced back with three runs in their half of the inning to pick up the Fox River Classic Conference win.

Eli Heuser had two hits and drove in four runs for Pulaski. Logan Clauss had two hits and drove in two runs, as did Eddie Van Roy. Braun Wotruba had three hits and scored four runs. Clauss and Van Roy each drove in two runs.

Gabe Eichmann had three hits and scored three runs for Manitowoc. Benson Dickrell had two hits, including a double, and drove in four runs.

Gavin Luebke got the final out for Pulaski and picked up the win.

Eichmann took the loss for Manitowoc.

West De Pere 11, Sheboyan North 10

SHEBOYGAN – The Phantoms rallied from a 10-5 deficit by scoring six runs in the seventh inning to defeat the Golden Raiders in a Fox River Classic Conference matchup.

Mark Williams had three hits, scored three runs and drove in three runs for Sheboygan North. Brett Rybarczyk and Tristin Hundt both had two hits. Rybarczyk and Eric Paarmann both drove in two runs.

Cooper Goes got the loss for Sheboygan North.

Kewaunee 11, Bonduel 6

KEWAUNEE – The Storm took a 1-0 lead in the first inning and then scored five runs in the second, three in the third and two in the fourth in their win over the Bears.

Kewaunee was led by Brett Paulsen with two hits and three RBIs. Micah Vanness had two hits, including a home run, and two RBIs. Calvin Kolmorgen and Blake Temme each had two hits. Diesel Bosdeck drove in two runs.

Bonduel scored four runs in the sixth inning while finishing with 10 hits and five errors.

Jack Zernicke had two hits, including a home run, and three RBIs for Bonduel. Brooks Hartlaben had two hits.

Jackson Walecka pitched five innings and got the win for Kewaunee. He allowed two unearned runs on five hits and two walks. He struck out seven.

Sawyer Rank took the loss for Bonduel.

Chilton 10, Oconto 6

OCONTO – The Tigers scored four runs in the ninth inning to defeat the Blue Devils in a nonconference matchup.

Kale Wagner had three hits, including a double, and drove in four runs for Chilton. Lucas Groeschel had two hits and Ryan Schmitz scored three runs.

Ethan Schneider pitched the final three innings for Chilton, allowing no runs on two hits and a walk while striking out three. He was credited with the win.

SOFTBALL

Wrightstown 19, Waupaca 9

WAUPACA – The Comets dominated the early innings, but the Tigers roared back late to earn the North Eastern Conference win.

Waupaca led 3-0 after one inning and 7-1 after two. Wrightstown closed to within 8-4 after three, but then struck for eight in the sixth and seven in the seventh. The Comets scored their final run in the sixth.

Molly Ruebl led the Tigers’ offense, going 3-for-5 with a homer. Also leading Wrightstown were Layla Beyer, who was 2-for-4 with a double, homer and five RBIs; Elaina Verbeten and Marissa Jeanquart, both with two hits; and Bryn Amundson with a homer and three RBIs.

Oconto Falls 15, Marinette 5

OCONTO FALLS – Izzy Otto was 4-for-4 with three doubles and a home run, and Emma Laughrin was 4-for-5 with five RBIs as the Panthers outlasted the Marines in North Eastern Conference play.

Also leading Oconto Falls was Amelia Danielczak, who homered and scored five runs.

The game was tied 2-2 after one inning before the Panthers grabbed a 6-3 lead after two. Oconto Falls led 8-5 after four before closing out the scoring with four in the fifth and three in the sixth.

Barrett Cole was 2-for-3 with a home run to lead Marinette.

Denmark 6, Freedom 4

DENMARK – Rebekah Dittmer was 2-for-4 with a double, while Claire Warpinski was 2-for-2 with a double and two RBIs as the Vikings held off the Irish for the North Eastern Conference victory.

Shaelyn Kraschnewski was 2-for-4 with two doubles for Denmark.

Kourtney Moeller scored twice, while Kingsley Klug had one RBI for Freedom.

The Vikings led 3-0 after one, 4-0 after five and 6-1 after six. The Irish closed out the scoring with three runs in the seventh.

Clintonville 20, Menominee Nation 6

KESHENA – The Truckers scored in all five innings en route to the nonconference win.

Morgan Retzlaff led the Clintonville offense, going 3-for-5 with a double and two RBIs, while Abby Tate was 2-for-3 with a double and four RBIs. Maddy LaViolette was 2-for-3 with an RBI for the Truckers.

Claire Papendorf earned the win in the circle, pitching five innings and allowing eight hits, six earned runs and one walk while striking out 11.

Natalie Peters was 3-for-3 with a double, home run and four RBIs for the Eagles, while Taylesia Pamonicutt was 2-for-3 with an RBI.

Clintonville scored three in the first, one in the second, nine in the third, one in the fourth and six in the fifth.

Menominee Nation scored one in the first, two in the fourth and three in the fifth.

Southern Door 5-13, Algoma 2-1

BRUSSELS – The Eagles broke open a close second game with two runs in the third and fourth and seven in the fifth as Southern Door swept the Packerland Conference doubleheader

The Eagles led 2-0 after one, but the Wolves responded with one in the second, setting up Southern Door’s offensive explosion.

Madyson Counard had the hot bat for the Eagles, going 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs, while Harper Kramer was 2-for-2 with a double and three RBIs. Alanah Kaye was 2-for-4 with an RBI for Southern Door.

Samantha Melville earned the win, pitching five innings and allowing three hits and one unearned run while striking out three.

In Game 1, the Eagles scored two in the third and three in the fourth en route to the win.

The Wolves scored both of their runs in the sixth.

Grace Gutschow was 2-for-3, while Kaye homered and drove in three runs to lead Southern Door.

Kaye also got the win in the circle, pitching seven innings and allowing two hits, one earned run and three walks while striking out 15.

Almond-Bancroft 3, Bonduel 0

ALMOND – The Eagles scored two runs in the first inning and one in the second and held on from there to earn the nonconference win.

Riya Ceballos shut out the Bears on three hits through seven innings, striking out six.
