Door Community Auditorium announces its 2026 winter season

Door Community Auditorium announced the cozy fireside concerts and a series of talks on living past 100 that will join previously announced Main Stage shows in its 2026 winter season.

The schedule features four previously announced Main Stage shows, three of which are part of DCA’s Passport Program series that includes cultural and educational elements, in addition to three performances to close out 2025. There also are four Coffeehouse Concerts featuring local and regional musicians and students in DCA’s Fireside Lobby and the four programs of the Door County Talks Series.

Here’s a look at the winter season.

Main Stage shows

Closing out 2025 are:

Programming before the end of the year also includes the Door County premiere on Dec. 13 and 14 of “A Cherry Pie Christmas,” a romantic-comedy movie set in and filmed on the Peninsula, but all three showings are sold out.

Next on the Main Stage is a Passport Program show Feb. 10 by Chinese troupe Peking Acrobats performing their trick-cycling, precision tumbling, juggling, somersaulting and gymnastics routines, including feats performed while atop precarious stacks of chairs.

The Feb. 14 show features the return by popular demand of jazz-blues band Davina and the Vagabonds with popular Door County soul-blues singer/songwriter Ruby James for a double bill.

March 12 brings to the Main Stage Native American storyteller, poet and flutist Michael “Laughing Fox” Charette, a member of the Red Cliff Band of Lake Superior Chippewa in Northern Wisconsin.

Closing the 2026 Main Stage winter season is “Women of Americana: A Celebration of American Music from Bob Dylan to Bonnie Raitt,” with nationally touring guitarists/vocalists Cristina Vane and Brennen Leigh.

All winter Main Stage shows take place at 7 p.m. except for “The Nutcracker” at 3 p.m. Ticket prices for Main Stage events vary and advance ticket purchases are recommended.

Coffeehouse Concerts

The long-running Coffeehouse Concert series features intimate Saturday night concerts by popular musicians from Door County and nearby areas, all in the auditorium’s cozy Fireside Lobby, with coffee and bakery from series sponsor Happy Coffee available for purchase. And this year, each concert features an opening set by a student from a Door County school.

Opening the Coffeehouse series Jan. 10 is local quintet Cool Bay Jazz, the band that held a regular Sunday gig during the summer at Dromhus in Sturgeon Bay. Next up is the songwriting team of Rob Roy Campbell and Vinni Hancock on Jan. 24, followed by popular singer/songwriter/playwright Katie Dahl on Jan. 31. Closing the series is eclectic Green Bay-based band Pegasis on Feb. 7.

All Coffeehouse Concerts take place at 7 p.m. in the Fireside lobby. Tickets are $20 and, given the limited space, advance reservations are strongly suggested.

Door County Talks

The four Saturday morning lectures in the 2026 Door County Talks Series will explore the concept of “blue zones,” a term coined and trademarked by author Dan Buettner to denote regions in the world where an extraordinary number of people live to or beyond the age of 100 with few of the degenerative aging diseases prevalent in many parts of the world. Attendees are encouraged (but not required) to watch the Netflix series “Live to 100: Secrets of the Blue Zones” prior to attending.

The talks to dive deeper into the concepts of blue zones will cover nutrition and healthy eating, given by Jennifer Sherman on Jan. 10; social connection with Paul Salm, Jan. 24; sense of purpose with Michael Brecke, Jan. 31; and fitness and wellness with Dr. Rory Johnson and Tess Johnson, Feb. 7.

All of the talks begin at 10 a.m. There is no charge to attend, although freewill donations are encouraged. Each talk will include a short break, a post-talk question-and-answer session with the speaker and a chance to meet other attendees. Coffee and bakery will be available for purchase.
