Donations toward recovery following the July 27 Appleton-Menasha tornado, continue to be announced. Several businesses have held fundraisers and have pledged funds to aid the families affected.
Bassett Mechanical donates $100,000 to Tornado Relief Fund
Bassett Mechanical in Kaukauna recently announced that it has contributed $100,000 to the Tornado Relief Fund.
“Our hearts go out to everyone affected by these storms,” Kim Bassett, CEO of Bassett Mechanical, said in a news release. “The tornadoes have left a lasting impact on families, businesses, and communities throughout the Fox Valley. We hope this contribution helps provide critical resources and support as recovery efforts continue and our neighbors begin the process of rebuilding.”
All donations to the fund go to local recovery efforts. The Tornado Relief Fund is a collaborative effort between United Way Fox Cities, the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region, and the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation.

7 Brew raises more than $9,000 toward tornado relief
On Aug. 8, the drive-thru beverage company, 7 Brew held a Tornado Relief Day Fundraiser, raising $9,322.
$1 from every drink sold at five area locations, from Green Bay to Oshkosh, was donated to United Way Fox Cities in support of tornado relief efforts.
Timber Rattlers Give Back group donates $22,000
The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers’ nonprofit, Timber Rattlers Give Back, will donate more than $22,000 to the Tornado Community Response Fund. The money will aid those affected by the Appleton-Menasha tornado on July 27.
“Our fans helped us raise of $17,204 through our 50/50 raffle during our homestand at the end of July after we announced that proceeds from those raffles would go to tornado relief,” Dayna Baitinger, director of community relations for the Timber Rattlers said in a news release.
Other donations to the group have been earmarked for the relief efforts, bringing the total contribution to more than $22,000.
