At least every Big Ten football team has a chance to make the College Football Playoffs, according to ESPN’s Playoff Predictor.
Teams like Purdue, Rutgers, and Minnesota, among others, shouldn’t get their hopes up, but no team was given a 0.0% chance to make the playoffs this season.
There were quite a few teams that had a 0.0% chance to win out, but obviously, winning out doesn’t even guarantee a team to make the playoffs, just ask Florida State.
Regardless, ESPN’s playoff predictor is up to date heading into the 2026 season, so it’s fun to look at which teams are expected to be in the mix once again, or potentially for the first time.
