Book lovers, are you ready to browse 40 genres?
The Wichita Adult Literacy Council will have a book fair Thursday-Saturday at the MPEC, 1000 Fifth Street, organizers said.
Hardback books will sell for $2 and paperbacks for $1, according to a news release from the council.
Entry to an early bird sale 5- 8 p.m. on Thursday will be $10, the news release said. Teachers will have free admission if they show their school ID.
Hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, and entry is free.
The literacy council offers services free to adults who want to improve their literacy skills, relying on grants, fundraising and donations, according to wfwalc.org.
“WALC works to give people a sense of hope and to provide opportunities for individuals in our community to reach their life goals and better their life circumstances,” the literacy council said on the website.
