Thanksgiving is Thursday, Nov. 27 and many shoppers around Lubbock have already been getting their turkeys, eggs, bread and other essentials for the holiday feast.
But for many, there’s always a need for a last-minute store run – whether it’s that allspice or nutmeg you forgot you ran out of last year or a bottle of cough syrup for a sick youngster.
While some area stores will be closed, others will still be open with reduced hours.
What Lubbock-area grocery stores are closed on Thanksgiving?
United Family stores, including Amigos, Market Street and United, will be closed.
Food King stores will be closed.
Walmart, Sam’s Club, Target and Costco also will be closed on Thanksgiving.
What Lubbock-area grocery stores are opened on Thanksgiving?
Dollar General stores will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
H-E-B in Lubbock will be open from 6 a.m. to noon. The pharmacy will be closed. Curbside will be available from 7 to 11 a.m. and home delivery from 7 to 10 a.m.
Sprouts Farmers Market in Lubbock will be open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thanksgiving.
