The Texas Tech basketball team took over late in the second half and held on for a 90-86 win over Houston on Saturday afternoon in United Supermarkets Arena.
The 12th-ranked Red Raiders (16-4, 6-1) earned their fifth win in a row by avenging the earlier loss to the Cougars, who have now lost to Texas Tech each of the past two years.

Texas Tech overcame an elite game from Houston freshman Kingston Flemings, who totaled 42 points for the Cougars.
JT Toppin went for 31 points and 12 rebounds against the Cougars while Donovan Atwell and Jaylen Petty each added 18 points.
